Data Deletion Requests

TakohaNZ has no user accounts — donors are never asked to register, and the app does not collect a donor’s name, email, phone, or card details. Data associated with the app is held at the terminal/operator level (a device/terminal identifier, the terminal’s donation-collection location, and donation transaction metadata such as amount, time, and site).

What can be deleted

A terminal’s stored pairing/device identifier.
Location records associated with a terminal.
Donation transaction metadata associated with a terminal, subject to the charity’s and our legal record-keeping obligations (financial records may need to be retained for a statutory period before deletion or anonymisation).

How to request deletion

Email support@myposmate.com from the charity/operator responsible for the terminal, including:

the charity/operator name,
the terminal identifier or site, and
what you’d like deleted.

We verify the request comes from the responsible operator and respond within 30 days. Where we cannot delete immediately due to legal retention requirements, we will tell you the retention period and delete or anonymise the data at the end of it.
